| Prof. Mattoo to lead Pugwash delegation to Pakistan | | |

New Delhi, Feb 25- Eminent writer, thinker and peace activist, Professor Amitabh Mattoo, will be leading an Indian delegation of eminent persons for a two day conference of Pugwash in Islamabad.
The delegation is expected to leave for Pakistan on March 4 and is also expected to visit Lahore and Peshawar for an on spot assessment of the ground situation in Pakistan.
This will be the first such conference after the terrorist attacks in Mumbai. The delegation will comprise eminent intellectuals, diplomats and a few political leaders, although the precise composition is apparently a closely guarded secret. The delegation is expected to meet President Asaf Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Sayed Yousaf Raza Gilani, General Kayani and other leaders.
