Early Times Report
RS PURA, Mar 5: Government Degree College R.S. Pura witnessed a spirited showcase of civic engagement as it rallied behind the 'Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye' campaign, advocating for democratic participation among its student body. In a collaborative effort orchestrated by the Viksit Bharat Club, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), National Service Scheme (NSS), and National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit, the college organized a thought-provoking event aimed at sensitizing students, particularly first-time voters, to the significance of their electoral rights.
Dr. Rakesh Choudhary, Head of the Department of Political Science, took center stage as he delivered an extension lecture underlining the importance of informed decision-making and active participation in the electoral process. His address resonated with the audience, emphasizing the pivotal role of young voters in shaping the nation's destiny. Under the astute guidance of Dr. Rajni Bhagat, Principal of the college, attendees were urged to propagate knowledge about the voting procedures, thus fortifying the bedrock of Indian democracy. Dr. Bhagat underscored the campaign's mission to inspire and empower the youth to exercise their fundamental right to vote, recognizing their indispensable role in the democratic framework.
The event witnessed an impressive turnout of students and faculty members, underscoring widespread interest and enthusiasm towards the campaign's objectives. It marked a significant milestone in the institution's commitment to nurturing democratic values and fostering civic engagement among its students.
