VC SKUAST flags off students tour to Gujarat

JAMMU, Mar 5: Prof. B.N. Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu flagged off a batch of 27 B.Tech. (Biotechnology) students of Institute of Biotechnology on an Educational Tour to different Biotechnology oriented Educational and Research Institutes in Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad and Navsari, Gujarat. Prof. Tripathi interacted with students and advised them to make use of the opportunity to learn new things in area of their profession. Prof. Tripathi asked the accompanying teachers to take students to Gujarat Biotechnology Research Centre, Gujarat Biotechnology University and Navsari Agriculture University for their exposure. The Vice-Chancellor observed that students need to have exposure to high end laboratory equipments which are available in these Institutes. The students were also advised to visit places and monuments of national and historical importance such as Statute of Unity, Dandi, Akshar Dhaam etc. for enriching their experience.
Present on the occasion were Prof. S.K. Gupta, Director Research and Registrar; Prof. Rajinder Peshin, Director Education; Prof. Sudhakar Dwivedi, Dean Students Welfare; Prof. R.K. Salgotra, Director, Institute of Biotechnology and faculty members of the Institute.
