Awareness campaign held on "Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye"

JAMMU, Mar 5: In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Union Ministry of Education aimed at Campaigning on "Mera Pehla Vote Desh Ke Liye" from 28.02.2024 to 06.03.2024 with the objective to ensure universal enlightened participation of youth in elections, Regional Centre Jammu shared the Notification on all Social Media platforms to ensure maximum reach of the message of utmost importance. The message was disseminated among all the Coordinators of LSCs under this RC with the instructions to share the same with the learners, Academic Counsellors, faculty, staff associated with their respective LSCs.
On the basis of feedback obtained from the LSCs, the message has been prominently displayed on the Notice Boards and disseminated among the staff.
Regional Centre Jammu, today on 05.03.2024, organized an awareness camp for awareness among the first time votes at Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Canal Road, Jammu in which faculty of the College and a number of learners of the College as well of the IGNOU participated.
Dr. Jai Prakash Verma, Regional Director, staff of RC including ARDs, Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Dr. Asha Upadhyay and Dr. Vikram Singh, AR, Rajesh Mohan, SO, Dara Singh participated in the event and highlighted the importance of vote in a democracy and encouraged the first time voters to exercise their "Right to Vote" meticulously.
