Jammu,Mar 6: Jammu Police today launched a dedicated helpline for women in distress.This helpline will be served by dedicated phone number which will cater to the needs of women in distress. The helpline number was today dedicated to public by ADG Jammu Zone Shri Anand Jain-IPS along with DIG JSK Dr. Sunil Gupta-IPS & SSP Jammu Dr. Vinod Kumar-IPS in a function at Women’s Police Station Gandhinagar Jammu on eve of International Women’s Day. ADG Jammu said that ensuring safety & security of Women is the priority of J&K Police.He also said that in addition women’s Police Station Gandhinagar,Women Help Desks are functioning at all the Police Stations in Jammu District to assist & facilitate disposal of complaints by women. ADG Jammu urged the people of the Jammu District to make maximum use of this helpline & seek the best possible assistance from the Police Department.The women helpline for Jammu is: 9906310101. |
