JAMMU, Mar 7: NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of GDC Vijaypur organizes 'Group Discussion' on the occasion of Women's Day Celebrations under the supervision and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Gupta, Principal of the College. More than hundred college students and NSS volunteers participated in the group discussion with great enthusiasm, fervour and zeal. The aim of organizing discussion was to aware students about the empowerment and autonomy of women and the improvement of their political, social, economic and health status and their right to influence social change for themselves and others.
The discussion started with the welcome address by Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce). She briefed the students that women's empowerment can be defined to promoting women's sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices and their right to influence social change for themselves and others.
