Jammu, Mar 7: Continuing its mission against peddlers in Jammu District,today Police Party of Police *Station Bahu Fort while patrolling in the jurisdiction of Police Station when reached near Grand Inn Hotel Trikuta Nagar,one person who was coming from Channi Puli towards Railway Station and was carrying one bag at about 1800 hours today.On seeing the police party,he tried to escape.
On suspicion, alert police party chased and over powered him, during questioning, he disclosed his name as Booby Kumar S/O Mantu Mandal R/O Radhanagar Banka Bihar A/P Sector No.1 Trikuta Nagar Jammu .On his search, 560 grams Ganja like substance, cash amounting to ₹ 77,000 along with material used for preparing the packets of Ganja were recovered from his bag.
Accordingly FIR No.58/2024 U/S 8/20/62 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort,Jammu & further investigation is going on.People have applauded the efforts of Jammu Police. |
