JAMMU, Mar 8: In a bid to foster scientific innovation and academic excellence, R.N. Tagore Hr. Sec. School, located in Sector-8 Nanak Nagar, Jammu, organized a one-day Science Exhibition, dubbed 'Sci-Storm,' on March 7, 2024. The event served as a vibrant platform for both teachers and students to exhibit their inventive ideas and delve into a spectrum of scientific exploration under the theme 'Innovations for Sustainable Development.'
A total of 150 students hailing from various classes showcased their exhibits, presenting an eclectic array of projects. These ranged from static displays to working models, designed to elucidate scientific concepts across all grade levels. The projects were meticulously crafted to offer pragmatic solutions to contemporary and future socio-economic challenges, with a particular focus on issues prevalent in rural areas.
The exhibition garnered commendation from eminent judges in the field of education, who not only provided valuable insights to the students but also praised their remarkable endeavors in project presentation.
Simultaneously, R.N. Tagore Hr. Sec. School marked a significant milestone by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PHYSICS WALLAH, appointing the latter as its Academic Excellence Partner. Through this collaboration, the school aims to provide direct online classes from the Head Office of PHYSICS WALLAH to students of classes 11th and 12th, thereby equipping them with the necessary preparation for competitive exams such as NEET and JEE.
Among the distinguished guests present at the event were Kuldeep Sharma, Deputy Secretary of JKBOSE, and Adarsh Bala, Principal of Govt Boys H.S.S, Gandhi Nagar, who encouraged the students to delve deeper into the realm of science and cultivate a scientific outlook towards the world around them.
Additionally, the exhibition was graced by Sh. Rajesh Jamwal, Assistant Secretary of JKBOSE, Reyaz Ahanger, Regional Manager of PHYSICS WALLAH, Rameshwar Singh Manhas, President of J&K Private Schools Co-ordination Committee, Riyaz Hussain, Vice-Principal of Govt Boys H.S.S, Gandhi Nagar, and Karishma Kochar, Senior Faculty at Physics Wallah, among others.
