| Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Om presides over mega event | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Mar 8: District Administration Rajouri, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, today celebrated the International Women's Day under the theme "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress."
The event was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat and it was aimed to celebrate the invaluable contributions of women to society and shed light on the imperative need to empower them for accelerated societal advancement.
Throughout the event, a number of impassioned speakers took the stage to underscore the significance of International Women's Day. They listed the myriad of Government schemes exclusively tailored to uplift and empower women socially and economically.
In his address, the District Social Welfare Officer, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt outlined a number of government schemes and programs specifically designed for the welfare and empowerment of women. During the event, the ASP, Musadiq Majid Basu and ADC Rajouri, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria delivered inspiring speeches, emphasizing the crucial role of women in the society.
