The event, graced by the presence of Prof. Shalini Raina from the Department of Political Science, kicked off with an insightful inaugural address shedding light on the theme's contemporary significance.
Prof. Sonika Sen, representing the Department of Sociology, delved into the historical context and current manifestations of Women Empowerment, enlightening the audience on the journey of women's rights. Prof. Dinesh Singh Chib, from the Department of Education, highlighted the persistent challenges women encounter in their daily lives, emphasizing the need for collective efforts towards gender equality.
Students actively participated, expressing their perspectives on women empowerment, with a particular focus on combating economic disenfranchisement, echoing the campaign theme for this year, 'Inspire Inclusion'. A poster-making competition and a symposium, adorned in symbolic purple, representing justice and dignity, further enriched the commemoration of the day.
The entire teaching staff and student body embraced the activities with zeal and enthusiasm, reflecting the collective commitment to championing women's rights and empowerment. The program received guidance and encouragement from Principal Prof. Anjali Mahajan, whose leadership ensured the event's success and resonance within the college community.
