Programme on Women Safety for police investigators concludes

JAMMU, Mar 9: A comprehensive five-day training program on "Women Safety," sponsored by BPR&D New Delhi, concluded successfully on [Insert Date of Conclusion] at S.K. Police Academy. The program, which commenced on March 4th, 2024, witnessed the participation of sixteen police officers ranging from ASI to Dy.SP ranks, including four female officers. The course aimed to enhance the investigation skills and update participants on the latest legal provisions such as POCSO, JJ Act, and IT Act. Esteemed guest speakers, including experienced professionals like Shalini Sharma, Kanika Gupta, Ashwani Kumar, Dr. Savita Nayyar, Rakesh Sambyal, Sukhvir Singh, Amit Parkash Sehgal, Inspr. Rakesh Manni, Inspr. Paramjeet Singh, and Inspr. Isha Mahajan, shared their expertise on various relevant topics. A valediction function marked the conclusion of the program, graced by Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, SSP SKPA, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of sensitivity towards women victims and urged the participants to adhere to guidelines laid out for their welfare. He reiterated that the primary objective of the course was to bolster the capacity of investigating officers, especially in cases related to women. The coordination of the course was efficiently handled by Tilak Raj, Inspector, assisted by ASI Rajinder Singh, ensuring the smooth execution of the program. The valediction ceremony was attended by the faculty of SKPA, highlighting the collective commitment towards promoting women's safety and ensuring effective investigation of related cases within the police force.
