Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 9: Under the leadership of Dr. Shreyansh Jain, the Indian Yoga Association (IYA) UT J&K Chapter, in association with Swaraj Yoga Institute-J&K, proudly introduced a scholarship certification program aimed at fostering certified yoga teachers from various categories, including border areas and backgrounds from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. This initiative not only provides opportunities to deserving students but also addresses the shortage of certified yoga teachers in the INDO PAK border areas, catering to the growing demand for yoga professionals in community and organizational settings.
The program, conducted from February 5th to March 3rd, 2024, at the Study Center of SWIYR, comprised a rigorous 200-hour training curriculum approved by IYA. Renowned yoga teachers and guest lecturers, with Anil Swaraj Ji as the Lead Teacher, facilitated the teachings, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching learning experience for the participants.
A grand valedictory felicitation ceremony was held on March 7th, 2024, to confer certificates upon the successful candidates. Dr. Shreyansh Jain, Chairman of IYA J&K Chapter, graced the occasion as the chief guest, imparting valuable advice on health and well-being. Among the key points emphasized by Dr. Jain were the importance of adopting gratitude, allocating time for self-care, incorporating physical activity, maintaining a balanced diet, staying hydrated, practicing meditation, undergoing regular health check-ups, managing body weight, ensuring sound sleep, setting life goals, avoiding substance abuse, prioritizing homemade meals, dental care, and practicing mindfulness.
The ceremony, attended by dignitaries including Sh. Abhinandan Jain, Sh. Ashok Gupta, Sh. Sudha Chander, Malti Sharma, Anmol Maini, Nitin Jain, Rakesh Verma, and other yoga enthusiasts and practitioners, commenced with mantras and prayers, followed by an enlightening lecture on yogic lifestyle by Dr. Shreyansh Jain.
The valedictory function not only celebrated the successful completion of the certification program but also underscored the commitment of IYA and Swaraj Yoga Institute in promoting holistic wellness and empowering individuals through yoga education.
