JAMMU, FEBRUARY 26 -In order to generate awareness to promote manufacturing of hundred percent biodegradable and decomposable products, a lecture was organised today at Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), J&K Regional Branch this evening.
Principal Secretary, Agriculture Production Department Mrs. Sonali Kumar was the chief guest while Chairman, IIPA, Dr. S. S. Bloeria presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Kumar said that the use of plastics and polythene is harmful to the human health as some toxic chemicals like viny chloride, ethane, phenol, formaldehyde, urea, acetylene and benzene are used in their manufacturing. She stressed making people aware about the ill affects of pollution.
