Awareness Programme on PM Vishwakarma held in Pulwama

PULWAMA, Mar 9: The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, in collaboration with the District Administration Pulwama, today organized a seminar cum awareness programme on PM Vishwakarma at GDC Boys Pulwama.
The event aimed to highlight the significance of PM Vishwakarma for the larger interests of public and artisans and to promote awareness about various initiatives under the MSME sector.
The seminar saw active participation from members of the local community, students, artisans and representatives from various industries. The event provided a platform to discuss the contributions of PM Vishwakarma in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development in the MSME sector.
The Additional District Development Commissioner Pulwama Showkat Ahmad Rather presided over the function, delivering an address on the importance of PM Vishwakarma’s ideals and the government’s efforts to support small and medium enterprises.
The awareness program featured informative sessions, interactive workshops, and expert-led discussions aimed at educating attendees about the various aspects of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. Participants had the opportunity to learn about eligibility criteria, application procedures, benefits, and the role of governmental and non-governmental organizations in implementing the scheme.
Speakers on the occasion shared valuable insights and guidance, emphasizing the importance of leveraging the scheme’s benefits to uplift the artisan community and contribute to national development.
Pamphlets on Vishwakarma were released by GM DIC on the occasion besides Certificates of Training Completion distributed amongst 200 trainees under the scheme.
More than 13 thousand people have registered, out of which around 1140 have been trained and around 500 registered for tool kits.
GM DIC Pulwama, ACD, ACP, BDOs Executive Officers Municipal Committees also attended the programme along with hundreds of participants.
