DC Bandipora flags off Mega awareness rally under SVEEP

BANDIPORA, Mar 9: In a bid to enhance voter participation and engagement in the democratic process, Bandipora today wore a festive look during a mega awareness rally organised by District Administration under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP).
The mega rally flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shakeel ul Rehman which commenced from Nishat Park and culminated at ITI Bandipora.
Nodal Officer SVEEP Javid Iqbal, Nodal Officer Manpower and Trainings Dr. G. M. Pujoo were present on the occasion. Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner underscored the paramount importance of informed and active citizenship in upholding the democratic ethos. He highlighted the objective of the rally to equip individuals with the requisite knowledge and resources to become proactive stakeholders in the electoral process.
The rally led by the Deputy Commissioner, symbolized the collective commitment towards fostering a culture of electoral literacy and participation. The rally transformed into a colorful celebration of civic engagement as Citizens from all walks of life came together inspiring enthusiasm among participants, reminding them of the collective power of citizens.
The rally served as a platform to disseminate information about the upcoming elections, importance of active citizenship, spreading awareness about voter registration, polling procedures, and the significance of exercising one’s franchise. The rally featured engaging activities such as Bangra by 3rd battalion CRPF and Kashmiri Songs designed to capture the attention of diverse audiences and foster a culture of civic responsibility.
BLOs, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, volunteers from Youth Federation Bandipora, Bangra party of 3rd Battalion CRPF, Police Band, Aaganwari Workers, students and General Public Participated in the rally.
