Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 9: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), District Jammu South conducted its “Labharthi Sampark Abhiyan”- the beneficiaries contact campaign under the leadership of its President Jammu South Rekha Mahajan. The motto of the campaign is to ensure the existing golden beneficiaries of Modi government schemes. During the beneficiaries’ sampark campaign, Rekha Mahajan met with hundreds of beneficiaries of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojna, ujawala (Gas Cylinder) yojana, Ayushmaan Bharat yojana and guided them to avail the multiple benefits of public-friendly schemes.
Rekha Mahajan approached the golden beneficiaries, who have received the benefits of more than one beneficiary scheme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Union Government. During this Abhiyan, Rekha Mahajan, along with other leaders also interacted with a large number of families who have their own house now through the PMAY scheme. She highlights, If we look at the past ten years of the BJP-led government at the centre, it is clear that the government has systematically worked for the upliftment of the poor and socially weaker sections. Rekha asserted that the very first task of the government was to allow the poor access to bank accounts through the Jan Dhan program. It has also helped curb corruption by directly transferring money to the bank accounts of beneficiaries in Jammu South.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced a reduction in domestic LPG prices by ₹100 a cylinder and this will significantly ease the financial burden on millions of households across the country, especially benefiting our Nari Shakti. By making cooking gas more affordable, we also aim to support the well-being of families and ensure a healthier environment, this will significantly ease the financial burden on millions of households across the country, especially benefiting our Nari Shakti. Rekha noted that by enhancing the affordability of cooking gas, the government also seeks to bolster the welfare of families and promote a healthier environment, she said, adding this move aligns with New Delhi’s dedication to empowering women and guaranteeing their ‘Ease of Living’.
Rekha Mahajan underlined that under the Saubhagya scheme to provide electricity connections, so far 25 million households have been electrified out of a targeted 25.4 million households. Similarly, the government scheme to provide free cooking gas connections to 80 million poor families under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, has reached 70 million households so far.
