| DFP LAUNCHES PRE-PUBLICITY CAMPAIGN ON PUBLIC INFORMATION CAMPAIGN IN LEH | | |
Leh,18th September,2006.
In connection with launch of Public Information Campaign in Leh under Bharat Nirman Programme , four units of Directorate of Field Publicity today launched pre-publicity campaign in Leh and its surrounding areas to make people aware about various centrally sponsored schemes. On the first day of the pre-publicity campaign, the Field Publicity units held extensive publicity programmes around Leh town in the shape of holding Film Shows, photo exhibitions, public meetings and symposia etc.
These units held preparatory porogrammes in villages Chachut Yogma, Chachut Gogma, Chachut Shama and Mathoo. Large number of local people from these villages and other surrounding villages took part in all the programmes .However, students out numbered the local people.
During the day long campaign, these units also held programmes on various themes of national importance . The people were also made aware about the purpose of organising the Public Information Campaign in Leh under Bharat Nirman Programme.
During the pre –publicity campaign and main campaign period, Field Publicity Units plan to organize variety of publicity awareness –cum-orientation programmes viz film shows, seminars, symposia, elocution contests, quiz programmes, exhibitions and other oral communication programmes in about 30-40 villages to highlight the Bharat Nirman Programme.
