| GDC Samba conducts awareness on First Aid and Drugs De-Addiction | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Mar 11: The Red Cross and First Aid Committee of SPPND Government Degree College Samba in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society (J&K) organised an enlightening awareness programme on First Aid and Drugs De-addiction. This initiative was steered by the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the college. She underscored the significance of first aid training and highlighted the health impacts of drugs on college students.
The programme commenced with an awareness interaction by Dr. Kavita Nijhon Verma, Medical Officer on health hazards of drugs while emphasizing its negative impacts on youth of our society. She also stressed upon the importance of first aid as a first responder in saving life of disaster victims. Dr. Ravi Kant Magotra, Supervisor Pharmacist and Vironica Marwah, Field Officer gave a live demonstration on first aid training like Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and other basic life-saving skills. |
