BSF organizes exhibition of weapons in Akhnoor under Drug Free India campaign

Akhnoor, Mar 12: : On Tuesday, while implementing the Drug Free India Campaign, 46th Battalion of Border Security Force organized Drug Free India Campaign through weapons exhibition and photographs at Headquarters, Akhnoor.
In the exhibition, students were given information about the establishment, development, bravery stories of BSF during peace and war through pictures and videos.
They were also introduced to the weapons that have been deployed to stop anti-national forces and protect the borders.
The program was presided over by Sanjay Doval, Commandant 46th Battalion Border Security Force.
More than 300 students from Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, Government Degree College Akhnoor and IDPS Akhnoor participated in this exhibition. During the exhibition, information about weapons was given to all the students present by the officers and soldiers present.
On this occasion, Lekh Raj SDM Akhnoor, Satish Sharma SDM Khoud, Akhnoor police station in-charge Tariq Ahmed, principals of local schools were also present as representatives of local administration. C.R. Chauhan and D.M. Punetha, Second Commanding Officer, Shri Anulesh Kumar, Subash Prajapati, Anil Chauhan and Anil Saroj Deputy Commandant had special contribution in making this program successful.
The students present during this program said that the today’s program gave them a lot of encouragement to join the army and any force deployed for the security of the country.
They said they are highly motivated by having close view of such arms and are highly encouraged to choose path of being selected in defence forces instead of choosing path of drug addiction.
During this, students also presented patriotic songs.
