Jammu, Mar 12: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), in collaboration with the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, is all set to host the much-anticipated PackTech Asia Expo and RBSM (Reverse Buyer Reseller Meet) from March 21st to 23rd, 2024 at Reagle Park, Greater Kailash, Jammu.
This grand event aims to showcase the cutting-edge solutions and capabilities of India’s packaging, food processing, printing, and plastics industries, providing a unique platform for domestic businesses to connect with international buyers.
The event will feature over 100 Indian companies exhibiting their latest products and technologies across a wide spectrum of solutions, ranging from advanced machinery and materials to coding and marking technologies. At a press conference, Mr. Rahul Sahai, Chair of the Jammu Chapter of PHDCCI, highlighted the significance of the packaging, food processing, and plastics industries, emphasizing their robust growth potential.
He underscored the role of these sectors in driving economic transformation, particularly in regions like Jammu & Kashmir, which boasts abundant agricultural resources and a burgeoning demand for convenience foods.
Mr. Sahai emphasized the importance of PackTech Asia 2024 as a catalyst for fostering innovation and collaboration within the local industry.
He invited representatives from J&K’s trade and industry sectors to attend the event, promising valuable networking opportunities and insights into the latest industry trends.
Mr. Naveen Seth, Deputy Secretary General of PHDCCI, elaborated on the event’s features, including access to over 50 international buyers from key markets such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Vietnam.
He highlighted the potential for joint ventures, business linkages, distributorships, and export orders, emphasizing the event’s role in facilitating international partnerships and market expansion.
Concurrently with PackTech Asia 2024 and RBSM, The Great Himalayan Food Expo and Jammu Plast International Expo will also take place, focusing on various sectors such as packaging machinery, food production equipment, label printing, automation technology, and more.
