SCERT organizes capacity building programme for school principals

JAMMU, Mar 12: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Jammu, has launched a Capacity Building Programme (CBP) for school principals across the Jammu division. Under the purview of Educational Planning, Management, and Monitoring, the program commenced on March 12th and will continue until March 16th, 2024. The inaugural session commenced with the rendition of the National Anthem and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by esteemed Joint Director, Prof. Dr. Sindhu Kapoor, setting a symbolic tone for the enlightening journey ahead. Surjeet Kumar Sharma, Head AU-III, extended a warm welcome, and Arsh Kour provided a brief overview of the program. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Balgar Singh. Seventy-five educational administrators from various districts of Jammu division are participating in the program. In her welcome address, Joint Director of Jammu division, Prof. Dr. Sindhu Kapoor, expressed gratitude to the school administrators and encouraged them to dedicate themselves to hard work and seize the opportunity to learn and inspire one another. Participants can expect to gain valuable knowledge, practical strategies, and networking opportunities to enhance their leadership capabilities in managing senior secondary schools effectively. The program is organized under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Parikshit Singh Manhas, Director SCERT JK, and the guidance and supervision of Prof. Dr. Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT Jammu Division. Apart from the inaugural session, three technical sessions were conducted on the use of PFMS, Child Rights in relation to School Education, and Assessment, led by acclaimed experts such as Rajeev Khajuria from the Juvenile Justice Selection Committee, JK UT, Dheeraj Slathia, Rohit Kumar Tikoo from PFMS, Treasury Department, and Rakesh Chobber, Academic Officer, SCERT Jammu.
