JAMMU, Mar 14: Under the visionary leadership of Dr. Ashu Vashisht, Government Degree College Paloura has taken decisive steps towards advancing India's Semiconductor Mission, hosting a series of enlightening events aimed at fostering awareness and enthusiasm among students and faculty.
In the inaugural session, Professor Rahul Raina elucidated the intricacies of India's Semiconductor Mission, a strategic initiative established by the Government of India. With a comprehensive overview, Prof. Raina highlighted the diverse applications of semiconductors in electronic media and underscored the pivotal role of the mission in elevating semiconductor manufacturing through capital support and technological collaborations.
The subsequent session, spearheaded by Professors Joginder Kumar and Bandhana, delved into the burgeoning field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Emphasizing the symbiotic relationship between AI and semiconductors, the professors elucidated how semiconductors provide the essential processing power and memory required for AI algorithms. They emphasized that India's strides in semiconductor technology would position the nation as a formidable contender in the global semiconductor industry.
Culminating the series of events was a live streaming session, attended by both students and faculty members, dedicated to the latest updates on the Semiconductor Mission. Led by Prof. Geetanjali Multani, and coordinated by Prof. Vijay Kumari, Prof. Neha Bhagat, and Prof. Vikram Jamwal, the session provided a platform for insightful discussions and exchange of ideas.
Dr. Ashu Vashisht commended the collective efforts of the faculty members and students in embracing the significance of India's Semiconductor Mission. He expressed optimism about the transformative impact of such initiatives in driving technological innovation and economic growth.
