| 7 vehicles seized for illegal mining by Samba police | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Mar 14: Intensifying its drive against illegal mining in the district, Samba Police has seized seven vehicles in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba, Police Station Ramgarh and Police Station Vijaypur which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
A Police team of Police Station Samba headed by SHO Police Station Samba while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area has seized three tractor trolleys without registration numbers for illegal mining/transportation of construction material in the area. Similarly, a Police party of Police Post Supwal headed by Incharge Police Post Supwal has seized one dumper bearing regd. No. JK21E-0997 at Supwal for illegal mining/transportation, whereas Police Party of Police Post Mansar headed by Incharge Police Post Mansar while on vehicle checking duty at Naka Mansar has seized one tipper bearing regd. No. JK14K-0716 for illegal mining/transportation in the area.
Likewise, Police teams headed by SHO Police Station Ramgarh and SHO Police Station Vijaypur while on patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas have seized dumper bearing regd. No. JK21G-3008 and tractor trolley bearing regd. No. JK21G-1067 respectively for illegal mining/transportation in the area.
The above mentioned vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action |
