Cyber Crime Investigation Unit of district police Doda recovers Rs 64,500 in online fraud case

JAMMU, Mar 14: In a significant triumph against cybercrime, the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit of District Police Doda has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to safeguarding citizens by successfully solving a case and recovering online defrauded money amounting to Rs. 64,500.
According to a statement released by Doda Police, the unit received a complaint from Suresh Kumar, resident of Dhareja Bhaderwah, Doda, regarding an online fraud amounting to Rs. 64,500. Promptly initiating an investigation, the cyber investigation team, under the leadership of PSI Ankush Nagra, In-Charge of the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit Doda, exerted rigorous efforts and employed advanced technical skills, culminating in the successful recovery of the defrauded amount.
This achievement underscores the expertise, dedication, and relentless efforts of the unit in protecting citizens against online fraud and cheating.
SSP Doda, Javaid Iqbal-JKPS, reiterated his appeal to the general public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious calls or online cheating to the National Helpline number 1930 or PCR Doda. He also encouraged citizens to lodge complaints online at www.cybercrime.gov.in and www.ceir.gov.in for lost or stolen mobile devices, emphasizing the importance of awareness and collaboration in effectively combating cyber threats.
District Police Doda, equipped with advanced technology and skilled personnel, remains steadfastly committed to staying at the forefront of the fight against cybercriminals, ensuring the safety and security of the community.
