Parliamentary election preparedness meeting conducted at DPL Reasi

REASI, Mar 14: SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma-IPS convened a meeting of officers to review the arrangements for the smooth conduct of upcoming Lok Sabha Elections at conference hall District Police Lines Reasi in which discussions were held on election preparedness, Model Code of Conduct, role of Police in election, Seizures, FSTs, SSTs, CAPF accommodation, sensitive zones, security scenario, law & order, Sensitivity of Polling Stations and other related issues to elections was discussed in threadbare.
The meeting was attended by Addl. SP Reasi, Addl. SP Katra, Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi, DySP DAR Reasi, SDPO Mahore, SDPO Arnas, SDPO Katra, Dy.SP Bhawan, All SHO's, and other Police officers of the district.
In meeting a detailed and thorough discussion held on various crucial aspects pertaining to the smooth and peaceful conduct of the upcoming elections in the district.
Thereafter, a detailed briefing was given by the Addl. SPs and SDPOs with regard to various important security related issues of their respective jurisdiction and also with regard to the security arrangements are being planned for forthcoming Parliamentary Elections.
Necessary Instructions were given by SSP Reasi that checking and frisking at various Nakas on highways and also in city and its outskirts should be geared up and made purposeful. The manpower manning these Nakas need to be properly supervised/ briefed by the SDPOs/SHOs and make them accountable. SSP Reasi directed all officers to prepare the roadmap for forthcoming elections. She also stressed on coordination with civil administration and security forces and keep an eye on activities of ANEs and trouble makers.
She further said that Reasi Police along with other security forces are ready and duty bound to provide congenial atmosphere for the voters whenever Election dates are announced.
