Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 14: In a remarkable display of cultural exchange and wellness promotion, foreign dignitaries Maria Anna Theodora and Kamuran from the Netherlands, accompanied by Jean-Claude from France, participated in a yoga session at the Vishwa Yog Sasnthaan (World Yog Institute) ashram, located in the serene environs of Har ki Pauri, Bagh e Bahu, Jammu. This event marked a significant milestone as it was the first of its kind in Jammu where distinguished visitors engaged in yoga alongside local practitioners.
Chairman Yog Guru Karan Ji commenced the yoga teaching session by traditionally blowing the conch, signifying the beginning of a journey towards inner peace and holistic well-being. The convergence of individuals from different corners of the globe, united by the common thread of yoga, epitomized the universality and inclusivity of this ancient practice.
The presence of Maria Anna Theodora, Kamuran, and Jean-Claude not only underscored their appreciation for Indian culture but also highlighted the growing global interest in yoga as a means to foster physical, mental, and spiritual harmony. Their enthusiastic participation served as a testament to the transformative power of yoga in promoting wellness and cross-cultural understanding.
Prior to their yoga session, a few days back these esteemed guests actively engaged in a Clean and Green Hygienic drive organized by the Vishwa Yog Sansthaan, demonstrating their commitment to environmental sustainability and community service. Their involvement in such initiatives reflects a broader ethos of responsible citizenship and global cooperation in addressing pressing societal challenges.
The Vishwa Yog Sasnthaan ashram stands as a beacon of enlightenment and holistic living, offering a sanctuary for individuals seeking to embark on a journey of self-discovery and inner rejuvenation. Through its diverse programs and initiatives, the ashram continues to serve as a hub for promoting the timeless wisdom of yoga and fostering connections across cultures and borders.
As Jammu embraces the rich tapestry of global cultures and traditions, the participation of foreign dignitaries in yoga at the Vishwa Yog Sasnthaan ashram represents a significant stride towards fostering intercultural dialogue and mutual respect. It is a testament to the transformative potential of yoga in transcending boundaries and forging connections that transcend geographical distances.
