Jammu, Feb 27- Kavinder Bhushan Gupta today filed his nomination papers for the 5th consecutive time for the post of JMC Mayor as BJP candidate.
In 2005, Gupta became the first Mayor when he contested the election for the same post and won. Again in the year 2008 he got elected for the second time on the BJP mandate.
After filing his papers, Gupta, while interacting with the media persons, said that he has been serving the people of Jammu city with dedication. He said that although the elected representatives of different wards are working round the clock for the development of their wards but still a lot need to be done as the new wards included in the JMC are undeveloped and need additional funds for provision of basic amenities. He assured that, if elected again, will ensure the speedy completion of the under process projects and taking up new ones so that the city of temples become a model city.
Suresh Jamwal, Lalit Moza, Yudhvir Sethi, Mohan Singh Chouhan, Balbir Ram, Rajesh Gupta, Usha Choudhary, Vikram Randhawa, Ramesh Sharma, Chander Mohan Gupta, Vinay Gupta, Sat Pal Grover, Dinesh Gupta, N.D. Rajwal, Omi Khajuria, Shub Chander Verma, Ravinder Gupta, Sureshta Jamwal, Balwan Singh, Sheela Handoo, Darshana Devi, Priya Sethi, Gulshan Mahajan, Balwant Singh, Sunita Kapahi, Raj Rani, Pushpa Wazir were prominent among those who accompanied Kavinder Gupta on the occasion.
