Doda police resolves theft case, thieves apprehended

DODA, Mar 15: Doda Police has successfully resolved a theft case involving stolen government property within a remarkable 24-hour timeframe after the registration of the FIR. According to official reports, the case pertained to the dismantling and theft of Crash barriers installed on the Khellani-Goha road in Doda.
The complaint was filed by Harjot Singh, an employee of NHIDCL, at Police Post Khellani. Subsequently, Case FIR No. 50/2024 U/S 379/IPC was registered at PS Doda, initiating the investigation process.
Under the efficient leadership of PSI Shubam Sharma, IC PP Khellani, a dedicated Police team promptly sprung into action. Through diligent efforts and the assistance of reliable sources and technical leads, the team swiftly apprehended four suspects linked to the crime. During interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement, leading to the recovery of 27 crash barriers within the span of 24 hours.
The stolen crash barriers were cleverly concealed by the thieves amidst thick vegetation in the Khellani area. Additionally, an Alto Car bearing registration No. PB69C-8514, utilized by the culprits during the commission of the crime, was seized as crucial evidence in the case.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities expecting further recoveries and developments. Doda Police's rapid response and effective investigative measures demonstrate their commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety and security of the community.
