500 Grams of suspected narcotics seized in Police operation

Jammu, ,Mar Late last night, a significant police operation led to the interception of two individuals attempting to evade authorities at Batra NHW Sidhra.
The incident unfolded around 11:45 PM when two males traveling from Narwal towards Sidhra abruptly changed direction upon encountering the police presence.
Upon closer inspection, the individuals were identified as Bagh Hussain, son of Feroz Din from Kulah Kallan R.S.Pura, and Mohd Mansha, son of Shah Mohd from Ward no. 4 Biaspur Parlah R.S.Pura. Subsequent questioning revealed suspicious activity, leading to a search of their persons.
During the search, officers recovered 250 grams of a substance resembling heroin from Bagh Hussain and an equivalent amount from Mohd Mansha, totaling 500 grams of the suspected narcotics.
The swift action of the police team resulted in the immediate seizure of the contraband.
Following the discovery, authorities initiated legal proceedings, registering Case FIR no 88/2024 under sections 08/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act at P/S Nagrota.
The investigation into the matter remains ongoing under the supervision of SP Rural Brijesh Sharma JKPS, ensuring thorough scrutiny of the case and adherence to legal protocols.
