GDC RS Pura organizes Poster Making Competition

RS PURA, Mar 16: Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Committee of Government Degree College R.S.Pura in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club organised Poster Making Competition on 16th March, 2024 in order to spread awareness about the detrimental effects of smoking under the mentorship of Prof. (Dr.) Rajni Bhagat (Principal of the College). While addressing the students she said that No Smoking Day started as a campaign to escalate awareness among the youth about the health risks associated with smoking and to encourage smokers to quit smoking. Furthermore, She stressed upon the major health risks associated with smoking including respiratory infection, pneumonia, COPD, bronchitis, cardiovascular diseases, blood clots and cancers. She also appreciated the efforts of students and convenor of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan for incorporating of such initiative for awaring the youth of the college. Students of the college enthusiastically participated in the event and also pledged to disseminate the knowledge among youth, family and society. The event coordinator Prof. Neelam Kumari also appreciated the efforts of the students and team. The program was concluded with the distribution of certificates and prizes to the participants. The other faculty members who were present in the event- Dr. Geetika Goswani, Dr. Meeshu Pandita, Prof. Vishal Sharma, Prof. Jai Mala Thakur, Dr Sunil Kumar Mangoch, Ms. Dipika and Dr. Rekha Rani. At last a refreshment was also distributed among the participants.
