GDC Neeli Nallah Udhampur organizes awareness program under SVEEP

UDHAMPUR, Mar 16: IQAC Cell, Government Degree College Neeli Nallah, Udhampur, in collaboration with District Election Department, (SVEEP Team) Udhampur organized Awareness Programme and different activities on 15th of March 2024 under the banner of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP). The programme was organized under the able guidance of worthy Principal of the College, Prof. Hans Raj. A large number of students attended the awareness program and participated in different activities. The event was started with keynote address by Prof. Hans Raj, Principal. While speaking on the occasion, he emphasized that the purpose of the programme was to aware the students regarding electoral literacy and also to empower them with the knowledge to participate effectively in the election process so that no voter to be left behind. Further, Vinod Kumar, (BLO) the main speaker of the event initiated his talk with the introduction of the theme "SVEEP". He motivated the students to ensure their enrollment in the electoral polls in order to enhance the participation in forthcoming elections for stronger democracy. Dr. Sunil Tanoch, convenor of the programme talked about the significance of active participation in the electoral process for the betterment of the nation. Maximum number of students participated in the program and took part in the activities like Dogri folk songs, Kho-Kho and Tug of War. The other members of Distt. Election Department (SVEEP team) were also present on the occasion. The whole event was organized by Dr. Sunil Tanoch, Asstt.Prof. of Sociology and prof. Rekha Sharma Assistant Professor of Dogri. Other present in the event were Dr. Maansi Sharma, Swati Sharma, Pradeep Kumar, Dr. Mahima Bhagat, Dr. Akhter Hussain, Dr. Zahoor Ahmed Mir, Dr. Muntazir Bhat.
