| Udhampur Police rescues 189 bovines | | |

Udhampur, Mar 17: Continuing drive against bovine smuggling, Police team of P/S Chenani led by its SHO Insp. Anil Sharma intercepted 15 different vehicles
in a single day (14 trucks alongwith one Mahindra pickup truck) on the different locations of NHW under the jurisdictions of PS Chenani bearing registration nos.

On physical checking of said vehicles, 189 bovines were founded loaded for smuggling purpose in above said vehicles. All the bovines were rescued and vehicles seized.
All the Accused persons (drivers of the vehicles) after noticing the police party on road fled away from the spot after leaving behind their vehicles on road.
In this connection 15 different FIRs were registered in P/S Chenani under relevent sections of law. Further investigation of the cases is going on. |
