Narcotic smuggling bid foiled, two held with 600 grams charas in Gool

Ramban, Mar 17: Cracking down heavily on Narcotics smuggling under *Operation Sanjeevani* Ramban Police under the overall supervision of *SSP Ramban Shri Anuj Kumar IPS*, foiled a Narcotics smuggling bid at Sangaldan, Gool and arrested two persons with Charas.
A police party of Police Post Sangaldan while conducting checking near police post Sangaldan stopped two pedestrian.
On questioning they disclosed their identity as Mohd Farooq son of Abdual Aziz resident of Barakund,Sangaldan Tehsil Gool District Ramban and Mohd Hussian Son of Jamal Din Sheikh resident of Bandan Sangaldan Tehsil Gool District Ramban.
During the process of checking Charas approximately 600 gms was recovered from their possessions.
A case FIR No 23/2024 under relevant provisions of NDPS Act registered at PS Gool. The accused persons have been arrested and contraband seized, investigation of the case going on to prove backward and forward linkages.
The arrest and recovery was made by IC PP Sangaldan under the guidance of SHO PS Gool,under the supervision of SDPO Gool, Adl.SP Ramban and overall supervision by SSP Ramban.
