Jodhamal Juniors celebrate "Graduation Day"

JAMMU, Mar 18: To mark the significance of schooling in the lives of toddlers, Jodhamal Public School acknowledged each one in the form of Graduation Day, a gracious passing out ceremony of class UKG students of Jodhamal Juniors. The chief guest for the function was Dr Manu Bhatnagar and Guest of Honour was Shri Anoop Sinha, Assitant Inspector General, CISF, Mr Amit Sharma, IAS joined in as the Special Guest. Little toddlers were very excited to receive their passing out from Pre-Primary to Grade-1 certificates, in their black gowns and smart caps.
The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the chief guest. The School Principal, Girish Kumar, extended a welcome to all the guests and parents and congratulated all the parents. Neetu Johri, Coordinator Pre-primary Wing, presented the Annual report, highlighting accolades and laurels notched by the students.
More than 200 Prizes were distributed to the winners in Inter School Competitions and to those who performed exemplary at National Level in various co-curricular activities. Special prizes were given to children who created records for various prestigious National and International Record Books. Children who were felicitated were: Avnit Malhotra, Hargun Kour, Zorica Malhotra, Neil Bajaj, Saahir Gandral, Samkit Jain, Gursangad Kour, Veeraj Thakur, Kaavish Gupta, Kanishtha Puri, Ethan J Pankaj, Ronisha, Kainaaz Beri, Ahmed Ibrahim, Sarvaaye Pratap Singh, Aarika Gupta, Hargobind Singh, Akshaj Koushal and Shahryn Anayah Bhat.
A cultural bonanza was presented by students to mesmerize the audience staring with Ram Vandana which was followed by captivating dance performance on Bollywood and Hollywood numbers. The Dance on Skates by the Kindergarteners and the English Play with a message to love animals were the highlights of the show. Each item was a notch better than the previous one.
In her address, the Chief Guest Dr Manu Bhatnagar motivated all students and appreciated the roles that the School and the parents play together in ensuring a holistic education of their children. She also emphasized that such exposures are required to ensure that our children acquired confidence and skills that cannot be taught in the Classroom.
