'India has rejected Pak offer to jointly probe Mum blasts'
9/21/2006 8:33:23 PM

New York, Sept 21 Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said India has rejected his offer of joint investigation into the July Mumbai blasts.
"I do not know who was responsible," for the Mumbai blasts, he told reporters here yesterday when asked who was behind the carnage in India's commerical capital or if it was the consequence of an unresolved dispute over Jammu and Kashmir.

Condemning the blasts in the strongest terms, Musharraf said he had proposed a joint investigation into the matter and offered to coordinate efforts to apprehend those responsible.

However, "my proposals have been categorically rejected and I don't know why".
