| GDC Ramnagar launches special winter camp with Theme ‘Mera Gaon Mera Abhimaan’ | | | Early Times Report
Ramnagar, Mar 19: The NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC), Ramnagar, has inaugurated a 5-day Special Winter Camp with the theme ‘Mera Gaon Mera Abhimaan’. The camp, which commenced on March 19, 2024, within the college premises, was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand Anthal, the Principal of the college, in the presence of NSS Program Officer Prof. Ritika Mahajan.
The camp aims to foster a sense of pride and responsibility towards one’s village among NSS volunteers. Approximately 54 NSS volunteers enthusiastically participated in various activities throughout the event.
The inauguration ceremony began with the NSS anthem, followed by an NSS Orientation Program, where volunteers were briefed about NSS ethics and their social responsibilities. The volunteers engaged in interactive sessions, exchanging their experiences and insights into social involvement.
Dr. Bhavnaish Chand Anthal, Principal of GDC Ramnagar, highlighted the pivotal role of NSS in national and social development. He stressed the importance of NSS in nurturing a sense of social and civic responsibility among volunteers, urging them to cultivate competence for collective living, democratic values, and leadership qualities.
The Special Winter Camp promises to be a platform for NSS volunteers to not only engage in community service but also to imbibe valuable life skills and contribute positively to society under the banner of ‘Mera Gaon Mera Abhimaan’. |
