| SVEEP Cell Rajouri organizes voter awareness, plantation drive | | |

RAJOURI, Mar 19: Department of Botany, Government Degree College Rajouri in collaboration with the SVEEP Cell, today organized voter awareness cum plantation drive under the patronage of Principal of the college, Dr. Shameem Azad and Head of the Botany Department, Dr. Tajinder Singh.
The event aimed to promote environmental consciousness among students while emphasizing the importance of civic engagement, particularly casting votes.
Principal, Dr. Shameem Azad and Prof. Iqbal Raina, Nodal Officer SVEEP Cell led the initiative by planting a diverse array of significant medicinal plants.
The event witnessed active participation including Dr. Khalid Rayaz, Dr. Ajaz Nazir, Dr. Nelofar Nabi, Dr. Saleem Jahangir, and Dr. Tahir Mehmood. Their enthusiastic involvement, along with the support of both teaching and non-teaching staff and Students.
The Principal expressed heartfelt appreciation to all participants for their unwavering commitment and encouraged the continuation of such eco-friendly endeavors.
The event not only facilitated the planting of medicinal plants but also served as a platform to raise awareness about the imperative role of voting in shaping our collective future. The event reached its culmination with a vote of thanks from Dr. Tajinder Singh. |
