UDHAMPUR, Mar 20: GDC Udhampur takes a significant step towards streamlining the admission process for undergraduate students for the NEP session 2024-25 by inaugurating a Facilitation cum Counseling Cell under the guidance of Principal Prof.(Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta. The cell aims to provide comprehensive support to students seeking admission to programs offered by the University of Jammu at its affiliated colleges, based solely on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
Today, a special orientation program was organized at the college, spearheaded by Principal Prof (Dr) Romesh Kumar Gupta. Prof Sanjeev Kumar, Head of the Department of Urdu, initiated the proceedings with a warm welcome address, elucidating the significance and objectives of the newly established cell.
In his address, Prof (Dr) Romesh Kumar Gupta emphasized the pivotal role of the cell in assisting students in selecting subjects aligned with their interests, thereby enhancing their academic achievement, personal development, and overall well-being. He underscored the importance of emotional and psychological support provided by the cell, aiming to address issues such as academic stress and career choices effectively.
