| NC-Cong Superstructure to overseen government | | Soz heads 6-member coordination panel | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 27: For the desired fair balance in power and policies of the ruling coalition, the Congress and the National Conference have agreed to set up a coordination committee to see over function of the government in Jammu and Kashmir. Pradesh Congress Committee Chief and Union Minister for Water Prof Saifuddin heads the six-member committee which has three members each from the Congress and the National Conference. Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and senior party leader Mangat Ram Sharma are the other two members from the Congress. The remaining three members to the panel headed by Soz would be nominated by the National Conference, Congress general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said in New Delhi. It may be mentioned that the previous coalition government of the Peoples Democratic Party and Congress too had an 11-member coordination committee initially headed by Ghulam Nabi Azad but it met only once during five and half years when these parties were together in power.
