JAMMU, Mar 20: The Jammu & Kashmir Police, renowned for its pivotal role in upholding law and order across the Union Territory, continues to demonstrate its commitment to public safety and disaster management. In a commendable initiative, the J&K Police Mountain Rescue Team is currently conducting a specialized training program for personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), specifically the 13th Battalion, stationed at Nud Samba.
Under the guidance of Inspector Ram Singh, the dedicated team leader of the J&K Police Mountain Rescue Team, this 15-day training course commenced on March 15, 2024. The program encompasses a comprehensive array of skills essential for mountain rescue operations, including mountain climbing, search and rescue techniques, and live demonstrations of crisis management procedures.
The training curriculum also focuses on essential life-saving techniques such as Basic Life Support System (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and other critical first aid protocols.
