SSP Kishtwar Initiates Community Engagement and Security Preparedness Measures

KISHTWAR, Mar 20: In a proactive move to bolster community-police relations and ensure security preparedness ahead of the Parliamentary Elections 2024, SSP Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, conducted a series of engagements in the Chatroo area.
As part of this initiative, a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was convened at Dakbanglow Chatroo, facilitating a platform for dialogue between local residents, youth representatives, and community leaders. During the meeting, participants addressed various issues, including security concerns and civil administration matters, which were attentively heard by SSP Kishtwar and his team.
Accompanied by Dy.SP DAR Sh. Sajjad Khan, SHO PS Chatroo Insp Vikram Singh, and other officers, SSP Kishtwar actively listened to grievances raised by the community members and assured prompt action on police-related issues. Emphasizing the significance of community vigilance, particularly in combating drug addiction, alcoholism, and anti-national activities, SSP Kishtwar urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior.
Following the PCPG meeting, SSP Kishtwar and his team conducted comprehensive inspections of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) accommodations and polling stations in the area, ensuring readiness and security preparedness for the upcoming elections.
Expressing gratitude for the active participation and valuable suggestions received, SSP Kishtwar thanked the community members for their support and cooperation. The participants commended the efforts of Kishtwar Police in fostering dialogue and collaboration between law enforcement and the public, advocating for the continuation of such initiatives in the future.
District Police Kishtwar reaffirms its commitment to strengthening ties with the community and fulfilling its duty to safeguard the safety and security of all citizens. Through proactive engagement and strategic measures, Kishtwar Police aims to uphold peace and harmony in the region during critical times.
