Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 20: In a strategic move ahead of the forthcoming parliamentary elections, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, chaired a pivotal meeting of the Provincial Committee for Kashmir Province at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.
The session delved into an extensive discussion on the multifaceted challenges confronting the party, particularly in light of the looming electoral contest. Members meticulously analyzed the ongoing political landscape within their respective constituencies, while also addressing various concerns related to the electoral process.
Accompanying Dr. Farooq Abdullah were prominent party leaders, including Vice President Omar Abdullah, Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Addl General Secretary Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, and Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq. The meeting also witnessed the active participation of several other esteemed leaders and functionaries from various party wings and levels.
In his impassioned address, Omar Abdullah reaffirmed the NC's unwavering resolve to confront the formidable challenge posed by the central authority. Drawing from past successes, he underscored the party's triumph in the 2019 parliamentary elections against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its affiliates. Expressing confidence in replicating similar electoral victories, Omar Abdullah emphasized the party's commitment to upholding the enduring political legacy of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah.
Moreover, he emphasized the pivotal role of party members and grassroots cadre in championing the concerns of the people and projecting them on relevant platforms. Highlighting the significance of the upcoming elections as a means to voice dissent against the actions of August 5, 2019, Omar Abdullah urged party functionaries to intensify their outreach efforts, ensuring that ground realities are effectively communicated to the broader audience.
The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to bolster the party's organizational machinery, amplify public outreach initiatives, and effectively articulate the aspirations of the people. As the political landscape evolves, the National Conference remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and upholding their democratic rights.
