| Samba police arrests 2 bovine smugglers, rescues 4 bovines | | |

Samba, Mar 21: Continuing its drive against the bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has foiled bovine smuggling attempt, arrested two bovine smugglers, rescued four bovines and seized vehicle in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal.
A Police team of Police Station Ghagwal headed by SHO Police Station Ghagwal while performing vehicle checking duty at NHW naka Tapyal, intercepted a Mahindra load carrier bearing registration number JK19A-3027 coming from Kathua side for checking. During checking four bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission.
The bovine smugglers identified as Barket Ali S/o Gulam Hyder R/o Kokernag Kandiwala district Anantnag A/P Nagrota Jammu and Mohd Ibrahim S/o Hashim Din R/o Gujrada tehsil Pongal district Ramban have been arrested and the vehicle used for illegal transportation of bovines has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 33/2024 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started. |
