KATHUA, Mar 22: In a ceremony resonating with pride and admiration, Government Degree College Kathua celebrated the remarkable achievements of its National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets who showcased exemplary performance at the esteemed Republic Day Camp 2024. Led by the esteemed Principal, Prof. Seema Mir, the felicitation ceremony held on campus served as a platform to honor the dedication and excellence exhibited by the NCC cadets, bringing glory not only to the institution but also to the entire region.
Prof. Seema Mir expressed immense pride in the NCC cadets, lauding their outstanding performance and unwavering commitment to excellence. She emphasized the college's holistic approach to education, which not only focuses on academic prowess but also nurtures leadership qualities and a spirit of service. The achievements of the NCC cadets at the Republic Day Camp serve as a testament to the college's dedication to fostering well-rounded individuals.
The NCC cadets of GDC Kathua participated in various competitions at the Republic Day Camp, showcasing their talents and skills on a national platform. Cadet Anshu Rani of 2 J&K Girls Battalion marched with Kartavya, while Sgt Mohit Kumar of 4 J&K Battalion participated in the RDC Cultural program. Additionally, JUO Rajat Singh, representing 4 J&K Battalion, participated in the All India Guard of Honour. Cadets Suneel Kumar, Sumit Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Sourav Singh, and Lalit Sharma of 4 J&K Battalion, along with Sidhanth Sharma of 1 J&K Naval Battalion, Srinagar, marched in the PM Rally, showcasing their prowess and discipline.
