GDC Bhaderwah celebrates World Water Day 2024

BHADERWAH, Mar 22: Dept. of Zoology in collaboration with Department of EVS under the aegis of IQAC Govt. PG college Bhaderwah organised a syposium on World Water Day 2024 with the theme "Leveraging Water for Peace" under the presidenship of Principal Prof. Shakeel Ahmed Khanday and guidence of Dr.Ajaz Ahmed Wani Head Dept.of Zoology (IQAC coordinator)
Program began with the introductory speech and welcome adress by Dr.Wani .He impressed upon the water conservation and role to be played by every body. He stressed upon the student community to act as an ambassador for the dissemination of message among the masses regarding the importance of water and its conservation for sustainable development .In his adress he emphasis the students community to make use of precious resources like water judiciously for human betterment. It's not water that is getting lost from the planet rather it is the availablity of water that is varying across the planet and it is the point where management and care is needed to be inducted.In the symposium 5 students participated, Jaseeb Ahmed, Akash and Sajad Ahmed adjudged ist, 2nd and 3rd respectively.Prof Malti Rajput HOD chemistry Dr.Swarn Sing and Prof.Younis Rashid from dept.of Botany act as jury members The other faculty members present were Prof Zain Banday , Dr.Bilal Ahmed,Dr.Ajaz Ahmed and Dr. Zkhursheed Ahmed Kumar. Program ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Anu Radha Shama HOD EVS. Whole programme was coordinated by Saloni student of B.Sc 6th semester.
