| CAs elect new body, Aggarwal is chairman | | |

Jammu Feb 28: CA Hardeep Aggarwal was elected as Chairman of the J&K Branch of NIRC of ICAL for one term, 2009--2010. CA Hardeep Aggarwal has replaced the outgoing Chairman CA Arun Kumar Gupta in a general body meeting of the J&K Branch of NIRC of ICAL held under the chairmanship of outgoing Chairman CA Arun Kumar Gupta. CA Hardeep Aggarwal was earlier the Secretary of the branch for 2007--2008 and 2008—2009. He is practicing in the fielding of direct and indirect taxes since July 1989. He is also a co-author of a book on J&K VAT along with CA Arun Kumar Gupta. Hardeep Aggarwal is also a social activist and is presently Vice President of the Aggarwal Sabha J&K.
The other office bearers elected for the term 2009--2010 include CA Lalit Kumar Gupta as Secretary and CA Satish Kumar Gupta Vice Chairman cum Treasurer. On being elected as Chairman CA Hardeep Aggarwal expressed thanks to the other members of the team, namely CA R K Gupta, CA Arun Kumar Gupta and CA Wig Sindbad, for bestowing with the honour and reposing confidence in him.
