PM Modi’s Sports Initiatives Celebrated at J&K Event: Ritika Trehan

Jammu, Mar 23: Ritika Trehan, Chief Spokesperson of BJP Mahila Morcha J&K UT, lauded the remarkable strides made in sports infrastructure under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an event held at MAM Stadium.
The event, graced by Ritika Trehan as the Chief Guest, celebrated the achievements of senior girls who showcased exemplary skills in national-level competitions. Additionally, it served as a platform to encourage junior girls representing J&K in the upcoming nationals in Patna, Bihar.
In her address, Ritika Trehan commended PM Modi’s visionary Khelo India initiative, which has significantly contributed to promoting sports and nurturing talent across the nation. She highlighted the transformative impact of the initiative, particularly in regions like Kashmir, where it has redirected youth towards sportsmanship and camaraderie, steering them away from negative influences.
Ritika Trehan shared the inspirational journey of para archer Sheetal Devi from Jammu, emphasizing the power of determination and perseverance in overcoming challenges. She hailed Sheetal Devi’s story as a symbol of the untapped potential within every aspiring athlete, irrespective of their background or circumstances.
Furthermore, Ritika Trehan extended her appreciation to Ms. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary of the Sports Council, for her relentless commitment to providing top-notch facilities and support systems for young athletes. She commended efforts to ensure that stadiums serve as safe and comfortable spaces where athletes, coaches, and support staff can thrive and excel.
The event witnessed the presence of distinguished personalities including Rakesh Kumar, International Kabaddi player, along with other notable figures such as Divisional Sports Officer Baljinder Singh (Bali), Kuldeep Gupta, General Secretary of J&K Kabaddi Association, and Sanjeet Kumar, Jammu District Secretary.
Ritika Trehan personally distributed certificates to deserving senior girls and offered words of encouragement to the junior contingent as they embarked on their journey to represent J&K in national competitions. The event served as a testament to the government’s commitment to promoting sports and fostering talent across the nation.
