647th Prakashotsav of Guru Ravidass Ji Celebrated with Devotion

Jammu, Mar 23: Guru Ravidass Sabha Chhanni Rama, Ward No. 49, marked the auspicious occasion of the 647th Prakashotsav of Shree Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj under the auspices of Dera Swami Jagat Giri Ashram, Pathankot. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of His Holiness Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Maharaj of Dera Swami Jagat Giri Ji Maharaj Ashram, Pathankot. Devotees from various parts of Jammu and its neighboring districts congregated to partake in the holy celebration. Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Maharaj delivered enlightening discourse on the divine sermons and teachings of Guru Ravidass, a prominent saint of the 15th century Bhakti Movement. In his holy satsang, Swami Ji emphasized the egalitarian teachings of Guru Ravidass, advocating that individuals from all castes possess equal rights to worship God, emphasizing the purity of the soul over caste and creed. The celebration witnessed participation from school children, who eloquently spoke on the life and teachings of Guru Ravidass Ji. They were honored with trophies as a gesture of encouragement and appreciation for their efforts. Additionally, individuals who have contributed significantly to advancing the divine mission of Guru Ravidass Ji were duly felicitated by Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj.
Under the leadership of Lokinder Singh Ravi and other office bearers such as Tarsem Lal, Ashok Kumar Basson, Dr. Des Raj Thappa, Susheel Tagotra, and Chhailo Ram, the grand celebration was meticulously organized.
Prominent personalities including Sham Lal and Kamal Singh Jamwal, former councilors, as well as JR Thappa, Banarsi Lal, Des Raj Sangral, Ramesh Lal, President of Guru Ravidass Sabha Babliana, and Prem Nath, RC Menia, graced the holy celebration with their presence, adding to the sanctity and fervor of the occasion.
