2/28/2009 10:34:24 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 28: Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) has strongly denounced the Education Policy of Government and said that due to lack of any policy whole educational set up is in shambles. The weak, casual and dual approach of Government towards Educational sector, which is the backbone of any society, has rendered many aspirants unsuccessful.
President JJSF Pushvinder Singh, has strongly criticized the policy of the state government where the sessions of the students of Kashmir & Jammu are not the same. The students of the Kashmir division fall under winter zone where as the students of Jammu region fall under summer zone due to which the exams of the students of Kashmir division are held well in time and they get sufficient time for the preparations for the competitive exams whereas the exams of the students of the Jammu region are held just few days ahead of the competitive exams.
Taking government to task for not taking any initiative in resolving this issue, Manhas said that the State Govt is just following the path of its predecessors and still acting as dumb and duff by ignoring the roars of the students of the Jammu region.
Recently the students of Kashmir province were held eligible to apply for the posts of Sub-Inspector in JKP whereas the students from Jammu province who are appearing in the exams of IIIrd year (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com) were not allowed to apply for the said vacancies.
He said that this is also one of the reasons that the students of the Jammu region are lacking behind in the competitive exams whereas the students from the Kashmir division are well ahead and they score more jobs as compare to the students of the Jammu region. He stressed upon the conduction of the exams of both divisions at the same time which will help the students of Jammu Region to compete with the students of other regions.
Manhas also congratulated the people of Jammu for the revocation of the PSA on Saint Shri Dinesh Bharti. He said that this is the victory of the people of Jammu who were regularly pressurizing the State government for the revocation of PSA of Saint Shri Dinesh Bharti. He also congratulated the JJSF leaders who were on the roads for in the support of Shri Dinesh Bharti Ji.
