Early Times Report
REASI, Mar 24: In a solemn ceremony, Reasi District Police paid tribute to the valiant Special Police Officer (SPO) Jagdev Singh, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on 23rd March 2002. Remembered for his unwavering courage and dedication, SPO Jagdev Singh, hailing from Balmatkote Tehsil Chassana, exemplified the ethos of selflessness while combating terrorism in the region.
A delegation from the Police Station Chassana visited the residence of the late SPO Jagdev Singh to extend support and solidarity to his grieving family. This gesture, representing the love and respect from the Jammu & Kashmir Police, aimed to alleviate their grievances and commemorate the sacrifices made by their beloved member for the nation's security.
Reflecting on SPO Jagdev Singh's exemplary service, SSP Reasi, Ms. Mohita Sharma-IPS, lauded his sincerity, dedication, and popularity among colleagues. In an era marked by heightened militancy in Chassana & Mahore areas, SPO Jagdev Singh's voluntary commitment to law enforcement stood as a testament to his bravery. His ultimate sacrifice underscores the profound debt owed by the nation and the J&K Police to those who defend the integrity of the motherland.
SSP Reasi emphasized the importance of preserving the legacy of martyrs like SPO Jagdev Singh, asserting that their stories serve as poignant reminders of sacrifice and valor. By immortalizing their memory, the youth are inspired to uphold the ideals of nationalism and contribute to the collective security of the nation.
The tribute to SPO Jagdev Singh resonates beyond the confines of Reasi, symbolizing the indomitable spirit of all those who stand guard against threats to peace and harmony. As the nation commemorates its heroes, their sacrifices continue to inspire generations, reaffirming the resolve to uphold the sanctity of the national flag.
